Switchboard Matting

Our switchboard matting provides critical insulation and safety for electrical workspaces, offering strong dielectric properties and robust physical durability.

Designed to meet ASTM D178 standards, these mats protect personnel from electrical shocks in high-voltage environments. Made from high-grade rubber compounds, our insulating mats are available in multiple classes and types, offering resistance to oil, ozone, moisture, and flame depending on the variant. These mats are ideal for use in front of switchboards, control panels, and other energized equipment areas. We supply our Class 1, 2, and 3 mats in roll form for ease of installation and custom fabrication.

Key Features

  • Compliant with ASTM D178 for electrical safety
  • Withstand voltages from 7,500 to 26,500 volts
  • Available in Type I (general use) and Type II (oil and flame resistant)
  • Excellent tensile strength and elongation
  • Low moisture absorption and superior durability
  • Fine ribbed surface for improved traction

Why Use Switchboard Matting

  • Switchboard matting is a vital safety solution in electrical environments.
  • Provides a non-conductive barrier between the worker and the ground, reducing the risk of electrical shock.
  • Essential for compliance with workplace safety regulations.
  • A critical part of any facility’s electrical hazard protection strategy.
  • Type II mats deliver added resistance to oil, ozone, and flame, making them ideal for harsh or variable conditions.
